I was telling Brittney about a conversation i had with one of our clients. This member was telling me how the studio community feels like a family to her, that she feels accepted, welcomed and seen. I just loved that description of asked Brittney to try and write a blog about the atmosphere of The Pilates Klinik. I think she captured it so well! Read what she wrote below…
“Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones that would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what.”
Creating and providing a space that is inclusive to everyone, has been a key element in fostering a sense of family and belonging at The Pilates Klinik. People come to us to feel good, to feel better, to feel accepted. Our focus here as a Pilates studio and Pilates Instructors, is practise and progression, not perfection. This culture has been lead by Kristen and passed through our staff, clients and extended community. We encourage our members to focus on the growth of their pilates practice and believe small, consistent steps forward is the way to build confidence and progress no matter your age or ability.
Our empathetic teaching approach of bringing awareness to the importance of movement, empowers people to explore what their bodies are capable of now and safely move towards the potential of what it could do tomorrow. Our clients learn to challenge themselves both physically and mentally in a nurturing space during group and private sessions, these experiences transition over into their everyday life which is transformative and powerful.
We have created a strong sense of family within our client community by engaging with our clients as a whole person but more that just us, our members connect themselves. The Pilates Klinik aims to create a space where our clients feel valued and appreciated. A space where they are encouraged to succeed not just during their class but as they leave out the doors to continue their day.
Our class schedule has grown to include our beloved 50+ Members and Junior Pilates Classes for 9 – 12 year olds. Combined with the bubs and kids in our Studio Creche and all the superstars in our Reformer and Apparatus classes, we have a full spectrum of age groups, abilities, backgrounds and walks of life coming through the studio doors each day.
With a young family themselves, Kristen and Michael know just how important family really is. Family begins at home, and that’s the feeling they have brought into The Pilates Klinik.
